The 1033 Market (formerly known as Alternative Christmas Market) was held Saturday, Nov. 4 and Sunday Nov. 5. You can still make purchases of meaningful gifts by clicking on the links at the bottom of this page.
Compassionate giving is the heart and soul of the Market.
The name “1033 Market” is inspired by the story from Luke 10:33 – “A Samaritan, who was on a journey, came to where the man was. But when he saw him, he was moved with compassion.” The Market offers a wide variety of small gift items, handcrafted by artists locally and around the world, It’s a great way to shop for colleagues, family and friends while supporting non-profit groups serving human needs.
Come out and support the Missions of Hyde Park United Methodist. These programs reach people in Tampa, around the state, the nation and globe. Some of our vendors include Ten Thousand Villages, Aldergate Bookstore, Liv Afrika and many more. Food will be available for purchase. Some exciting Silent Auction Items are a week’s Beach Vacation Rental, Lightning Tickets, themed baskets and much more. Proceeds from gift sales and from the Silent Auction will further the work of mission agencies supported by the congregation.
“At the 1033 market, you can find a gift for everyone on your Christmas List,” said Gwen Lindsey, market chairperson. “You can leave knowing that your purchase has benefited someone in need locally or even globally.”
