Our thanks to all who contributed to our peanut butter drive. Your generous contributions gave 1,255 pounds of peanut butter to our Open Arms Ministry, allowing us to spread the love to our guests as they head out on the streets of Tampa.

Here are some fun facts about peanut butter:

  • A medium jar of peanut butter (16 oz.) makes about 32 sandwiches.
  • It takes about 734 peanuts to make a 16 oz jar.
  • One peanut butter sandwich contains 12 grams of protein. Children ages 1-8 need 13-19 grams of protein a day.
  • One jar of PB will provide a child with over 1/2 the daily protein requirement for a month. A dozen jars will do an entire year.

The drive may be over, but you can always bring peanut butter to our campuses. It seems our guests have an appetite for it!
