MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)

MOPS believes that better moms make a better world!

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is open to all women who are pregnant or have young children (birth - Kindergarten). MOPS is here to provide fellowship, resources and support for you as a woman and a mother. Childcare is provided. For more information, email MOPS or like us on Facebook for updates and information.

What is MOPS?

MOPS believes in connecting moms all over the world to a community of women, in their own neighborhoods, who meet together to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of motherhood. MOPS groups are rallying women to be more honest, to feel more equipped and to find our identity by journeying alongside one another.

Meeting Details

9-11 a.m. Wednesdays - 1st and 3rd monthly (Sept. - May) beginning Sept. 6, 2023
All moms to-be and moms with children in Kindergarten and younger.
Wesley Center, 3rd Floor, Rooms 308-309

What will I experience at a MOPS meeting?

Community and connection! We gather around tables and usually start with fun ice breakers to play. Next, our meetings focus on the main event, which can be: a speaker who is an expert in his/her field, MOPS International curriculum, a coordinating craft, or just fellowship.

Our prayer is that you will experience a welcoming environment where everyone is accepted and appreciated. We all have one thing in common…we are moms, trying to be the best moms we can be. This is a hard journey; a difficult space, but we believe that coming together helps us through the difficult places and we can come out better because of our time together.

Can I try a meeting first?

Definitely!  Please come and visit to see what we do and why we leave feeling that we can conquer this thing called motherhood.  After one visit, if you choose to come back, we ask that you join our group.

What about my children during the meeting?

We offer childcare for babies and crawlers in the nursery. Confidently walking toddlers and children 2 and over will be a part of our MOPS Kids group. MOPS Kids offers the older children a time of play, crafting and learning about God through stories with a curriculum. There is a fee and an advanced registration associated with morning childcare, if you choose to use it, be sure to indicate that on your registration.

All childcare workers are screened and staffed through the church.

Hyde Park has been proud to sponsor a MOPS group since 2011. MOPS started in Denver with a small group of moms who wanted to build community and help each other become better moms. Our group has grown over the years because of the fellowship we have and the friendships we have gained. You are welcome here!
