The Rev. Roger Scholtz is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church in South Africa. Roger served as interim senior pastor of Hyde Park United Methodist from 2014-2015, prior to the arrival of current senior pastor the Rev. Magrey deVega.
Roger’s talk outlined 7 practical practices that can increase empathy, including “imaginative compassion,” and effective conversations. The workshop was interactive and included large and small group participation from audience members.
