Sunday Morning Worship
Worship at Hyde Park is a gathering of people who come together to consider who God is and what God has done. The sanctuary and chapel spaces have remained a constant for over a hundred years in a city that is always changing. Each service is a place where everyone is invited to find and explore their faith, and worship God in community.
- Sermons — Here's where you'll find an archive of recent sermons, available in both text and audio format. You can even subscribe to sermon podcasts to receive audio downloads of weekly sermon automatically.
- Current Series — Explore upcoming sermon topics, scripture readings, and things related with our current worship series.
- Previous Worship Services — Watch the previous four worship services here.
Four different expressions of worship invite us to approach God with stillness, joy, and wonder:

8:30 a.m. Chapel
Experience a more intimate worshiping community while being a part of Hyde Park United Methodist. Be immersed with sounds of a pipe organ, voices and string instruments; and sights of candles, stained glass, a cross and pastors with robes and liturgical colors. Participate in singing with hymnals and recite the ancient creeds.
Communion is served weekly and all are welcome to participate regardless of your faith background.

8:30 and 9:30 a.m. Sanctuary
Worship with contemporary Christian songs and re-imagined hymns, while embracing traditions of the church like the Lord’s Prayer and monthly communion. Feel your body and spirit move with the energy of drums, guitars, keyboards, violin and many voices.
These gatherings often include a variety of creative elements that help communicate the Biblical story such as set design, drama, video, interviews, or even dance. The experience is designed to help us encounter God in the ways we each uniquely connect to that which is eternal.

11 a.m. Sanctuary
Experience traditional worship like never before. Feel the sound of a majestic pipe organ that can both whisper in your ear and rattle your soul. Experience the refreshing wave of over forty voices from the Chancel choir accompanied by the timeless sounds of bells, harps, cellos, flutes, and violins. Take in the sights of candles and the cross being carried to the altar, stained glass windows, and pastors wearing the robes and liturgical colors that have been worn for many centuries.
Place your busy life on hold and participate in the mystery of God through hymns, ancient creeds and prayer. Continue in a tradition formed through the years by saints, sages and everyday people like you. Communion is served the first Sunday of the month. Come and worship where Tradition meets Today.
