What an exciting year it has been for our congregation!  We have so much to be grateful for at our church.

After months of praying for a “perfect” fit for our children and youth, those ministry areas are now fully staffed! God, in his perfect timing, brought us these wonderful new additions to the Hyde Park family.

Watching those adorable third graders get their bibles recently, in what appeared to be one of the biggest third-grade bible classes we’ve seen in some time, certainly warmed my heart. Observing middle and high school students attending Merge is fun to see (the doughnuts and the adorable white, fluffy dog that attends Merge continue to be a big hit in my family).

Our theme for this year’s generosity campaign is Living with Gratitude. It was inspired by the author Diana Butler Bass. Last year, we were fortunate to have her come to Hyde Park to preach a sermon and share about thankfulness in an afternoon lecture.

If you haven’t been back to church recently, I want to encourage you to return soon on a Sunday. Invite a friend or another family to come and enjoy all that Hyde Park has to offer.

Being in the community at Hyde Park United Methodist encourages us to live with gratitude and to refresh, renew and empower us each and every week.  Thank you for your time and financial contributions.  We are honored by your gifts.

Let’s be in community together and celebrate living with gratitude!

Heather Elwell,

Generosity Team Chair
