Make Room for God as Advent Begins

Life might be about to get busier for you as we prepare for Christmas. Here are some ways that you can intentionally make some sacred space in your days:

Include a daily Bible reading as part of your daily routine

Read the book, “All the Good”, that connects with our worship series. Purchase in our Coffee Shop Sunday or through our Amazon Shop.

Read the “All the Good” devotional book, also available in the Coffee Shop or on Amazon.

Be sure to stop by and grab a Christmas Invitation on your way out of the service. Be sure to share these with your friends, family, and neighbors!

Interactive Nativity

Dec. 19 – 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Experience the Nativity in a new way with an immersive, 30-minute retelling of the Christmas story.

The stage will be set with live animals and carolers, ready for you, the audience, to complete the cast of characters.

After the story has been told, enjoy a cup of hot chocolate as you craft and create through the Nativity Marketplace and visit with the live animals.

Blue Christmas

Dec. 21 – 7 p.m.

This is supposed to be a joyful time of year, but… for some of us, the holidays are hard.

Know that You are not alone.

Come to a different kind of experience, one of comfort and hope. Experience contemplative music, a time for reflection and prayer, spoken words of hope and candles of remembrance lit during the service.

Christmas at Water Works Park

Dec. 23 – 6 p.m.

Experience the magic and wonder of Christmas in Water Works Park.  We’ll share the Christmas story and celebrate the season with song.  Enjoy an evening of joy and hope under the night’s sky and against the dazzling Tampa Riverwalk.

 

Bring your pets, lawn chairs and blankets.

Dec. 24

4 p.m. Sanctuary Service with the Chancel Choir and Brass featuring a candle lighting. 

5 p.m. Harnish Center Service led by contemporary band featuring carols of the season and a candle lighting.

6 p.m. Sanctuary Service with the Chancel Choir and Brass featuring a candle lighting. 

11 p.m. Sanctuary Service with the Chancel Choir and Communion featuring carols and a candle lighting around the fountain, taking the light of Jesus to the world.
