Do you remember show-and-tell? It was fun, right? The truth is it was an opportunity for you to share something meaningful with your classmates. And the good news NOW … is that it is a great opportunity for us to connect and share some of the stories of our lives.
I don’t know about you, but I have some fond memories that were created during my kindergarten show-and-tell time. I would spend hours thinking about what I would bring and how I would describe it to my 5-year-old classmates.
It was a very serious decision for this kindergartner … and now, I look around my home and see objects that remind me of special times in my life. So, at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, our PrimeTimers are going to do just that – have a Virtual Show-and-Tell. Here is some information to get you inspired:

  • You have ten days to look around your home for one special object.  (*If you no longer have the object, show us a picture of it, if you can.)
  •  When you know what you want to share, consider WHY this item is significant for you.
  • Think about how you would tell us the story in five minutes or less.

Does the item make you think about other people? If so, who?
Does it make you think about a time long ago or a sometime more recent?  What would you want us to know about this item?
I can’t wait to hear some of your stories and see some of your treasures! Plan to join us on ZOOM on Wednesday, July 29.
Please RSVP and let us know what your object is as soon as you choose one, but definitely by next Sunday, July 26, as we are creating a program.
Remember, the stuff we keep says something about ourselves, and Show and Tell for Grown-ups is a fun and safe place for us to share these stories.
