“Top 3 Ways to make the BEST of COVID19”

Find ways to help others
In March, my job moved my job home so I have been loving waking up and being at work. Helping others is a really important part of who I am. Luckily, I was able to begin teletherapy in the evenings and helping people who are struggling through this time has brought me a lot of satisfaction. During this time I have also helped at Open Arms, most recently helping our guests to register to vote. I have also continued working with the HIllsborough Organization for Progress and Equality, via Zoom meetings, to work towards various social justice initiatives and I continue to mentor a woman through Love INC. My volunteer work is very important to me and I feel blessed to be able to continue while social distancing.
Get Outside and Enjoy God’s Beauty
I love to walk so I have been walking as often as I can fit it into my schedule. We just moved closer to the bay, so I am able to walk up there easily. Seeing the water and the Tampa skyline always makes me feel good.
Quality Time with Your Family
I have also been spending either real time or virtual time with my family. With Jack heading into his senior year and spending more time at home due to isolation, I have been enjoying every bonus minute with him. I relish this time we get to spend together. I have also been Facetiming and having Zoom calls with my Mom and brother’s family who all live out of state. I have also enjoyed playing euchre with my Aunt and Uncle and cousins via trickster.com. We are able to see each other via video, chat and play cards. It’s almost like we are all together.
