Parenting Beyond Your Capacity - Online Resource

When parents work in tandem with the faith community to raise their children, they increase their parenting capacity exponentially. Most parents have so many demands on their time that they can’t be the kind of parent they desire to be. They need to know the Orange Factor: Two combined influences will make a greater impact on kids than just two influences. And it’s true. Parents who partner with the faith community are the best way to bring the next generation into the family of God — and keep them there.

Space Between - Online Resource

For many parents, raising children seems pretty manageable until the teenage years. Then fear, confusion, frustration, and lack of understanding begin to invade the hearts and minds of these once-confident parents. The “normal” changes of adolescence seem to be nothing but abnormal to parents who begin to feel like helpless bystanders. But parents don’t need to feel alone or paralyzed by these feelings. With empathy and practical tools, parents will address several important issues.

Middle School Mission trip—Jacksonville, FL

The summer mission trips at our Jacksonville location offer several amazing and meaningful opportunities for youth groups. Part of our outreach ministry will be in a community just south of our camp. This is an impoverished neighborhood where mission teams will minister to the children through our children’s outreach program and work to repair dozens of homes to bring them back to livable conditions. There is so much need and so much to be accomplished in this community that we can’t help but be excited about the impact your group can have showing the love of Christ to the families and children who live there.

Lodging: Groups involved with our summer missions trips to Jacksonville will stay at a facility with bunk style cabins, chapel, dining hall, recreation areas, lake with swimming docks, canoes & paddle boats, basketball & volleyball courts. All meals are included except two lunches and two dinners during free time.

Area Attractions: Beaches, St. Augustine, Hanna State Park, water parks, amusement centers
When: July 9–15
Cost: $400

Slow Fade - Online Resource

A discussion of the most overlooked and underdeveloped facet of the modern church—how to keep college-aged people engaged in faith. Many churches and families have programmed a youth ministry finish line at twelfth grade. They become less and less involved in church and faith and, eventually, absent altogether—they slowly fade away. A senior pastor, a college pastor, and a twenty-something—rethink one-on-one mentorship as the way to end the slow fade. They offer insights and suggestions that will help anyone get started fighting the fade.
