Give

Your contributions help us gather, learn, and grow together.

How Do I Give?

Online contributions are easy and secure. For the most efficient and cost-effective option, set up recurring ACH payments. Credit/debit cards are also accepted. Please note that the church must pay a small processing fee to receive your contribution this way.

In Person: There are offering boxes available at all the entrances of our worship spaces to deposit checks or cash.

Mail checks to: Hyde Park United Methodist, 500 W. Platt St., Tampa, FL 33606.

Non-cash Gifts

Non-cash contributions may include:

● Publicly Traded Securities
● Closely-Held Stock
● Personal Property
● Real Estate
● Gifts-in-Kind
● Paid Insurance Policies
● Charitable Lead Trusts
● Deferred Gifts

For more information on any of these ways to give, contact Lynn Osborne or Meagan Kempton. You should always consult with your own tax advisor as to the tax-deductibility of gifts in your particular situation.

Endowment Fund

Contributions to the Endowment Fund are held in perpetuity, with only the interest used to support church ministries. This ensures that every gift makes a lasting impact, sustaining the church’s mission for generations. By giving to the Endowment, you help strengthen the church’s ability to thrive, even in challenging economic times, and secure its future.

Endowment donations may include cash, publicly-traded securities, closely-held securities, real property, tangible personal property, other property, bequests (wills), charitable remainder trusts, life estate gifts, life insurance, individual retirement accounts, gift annuities, and retirement plans.

An endowment gift may be made at any time and is frequently made in honor or memory of an individual or as part of an estate plan.

You may designate a gift to one of the existing Endowment funds. (If the donation is to honor or commemorate special persons or events, acknowledgments are mailed to both donors and honorees. Anonymous gifts are also accepted.) View a full list of Endowment Funds here.

A new fund may be named in memory or in honor of a designate with a contribution of $25,000 or more. Please consult Meagan Kempton at 813.253.5388.

The Endowment Committee’s A Gift from the Heart booklet provides information and forms to serve as tools for you and your family in dealing with end-of-life issues and estate planning.

Theology of Giving

We are saved by God’s grace through faith. To live out our salvation, we must use the gifts God gives us to serve Him in the world. Giving is always a personal, spiritual discipline.

Where Does My Money Go?

Your gifts to our church help to equip and send disciples to share Christ’s love locally and globally. Contributions support worship, learning, and community growth, helping us live out the Great Commission to “make disciples of all nations.” Our Ministry and Missions Fund supports ministries, staff, worship, building operations, and local and global mission projects. The Endowment Fund secures the church’s future, with gifts held in perpetuity and earnings used for ministry needs.
